Anatomy of The Spine
Neuroforamen

The neuroforamen represent the opening on either side of the spine. These opening are bordered by a bony part of the each adjacent vertebra called the pedicles. The openings are bordered in the front by the intervertebral disc and in the back by the facet joints. Each neuorforamen contains a spinal nerve root, small sensory nerves, fat and numerous blood vessels.
